Background In Detail

Brandon_Strickland_Skills_ExperienceSpending the majority of his youth in the forest building tree houses and inventing makeshift gadgets, Brandon has lived in urban and rural areas and prefers the stillness of nature.

At the age of 18 Brandon purchased his first home, after saving his earnings from working the night shift in a construction job, and rented 3 of the 4 rooms to university students while Brandon attended college in Peterborough, Ontario.

Brandon has always been interested in self development and has lead down the path of studying: Martial Arts, Communication, Negotiations, Finance, Investing, Strategy,
Meditation, Kinesthetic Awareness, Emotional Development, Social Science,
Psychology and,  most recently,  Community Design.

A large shift happened for Brandon in 2008, after spending many hours playing the strategy games Chess and Wei-Chi. Brandon gained significant skill in these games, but at the expense of considerable time. Long hours would go by, and Brandon realized that if he enjoyed the challenge of these strategy games then he could derive the same pleasure from creating something in the real world.

Shortly afterwards, Brandon began channeling his creativity and desire for improvement into satisfying real world challenges. If playing a high intensity game like chess could be fun, enjoyable AND relaxing, then almost anything could be framed in the same positive way. From this, Project Rejuvenation was born as a tool to resolve many of the puzzles that exist within modern day world.
